The Department for International Trade (DIT) is the UK’s international economic department.

We help businesses export, drive inward and outward investment, negotiate market access and trade deals, and champion free trade.

The Finance and Business Services Directorate plays a critical role in providing financial insight and strategic advice to enable DIT to deliver these frontline objectives.

How?

DIT is launching an ambitious two-year Transformation Programme to improve Financial Management across DIT.

We are recruiting to build finance function capacity in order to deliver improved financial capability in DIT. We are making improvements right now, and also delivering a long term plan to transform our systems and financial management to better support this international economic department.

With a new Finance & Business Services director and senior management team in place we have created 30 new positions within the function. Our department was created in 2016 to respond to the need to strike and extend trade agreements over the coming years among other responsibilities at the heart of government, this function will be crucial in supporting and delivering these objectives.
