Place of Work
This role is based between New Scotland Yard (Westminster) and Kilburn, although there is a potential to work from various Met sites. You will be required to work from a Met location on at least 3 days per week (60% of working time). There is a further expectation that individuals will remain flexible on individual agile working arrangements so that they are available to attend work when there is a business need to do so.
Hours
You will be contracted for 36 hours per week; however you may be asked to work hours necessary to fulfil your duties and meet the demand of the policing service, this may include normal out of office hours.
Security
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The successful candidate for this post will be required to have RV/CTC level clearance.
To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. If you do not meet this requirement, you would not be eligible for MV/SC clearance and therefore not eligible to apply for this role.

Annual Leave
Annual leave is 28 days increasing to 33 days after 5 years’ service.
Pension
On joining you will have the choice to join one of the following Civil Service Pension schemes:
Alpha pension scheme: This is a defined benefit CARE (Career Average Revalued Earnings) pension scheme which offers a guaranteed pension with an optional lump sum, based on the earnings you receive during your career. Both yourself and the MPS will make contributions to the scheme and you will receive tax relief on the contributions you make.
Partnership pension scheme: This is a defined contribution pension scheme and the MPS will make contributions based on your age. You do not have to make any payments to have a partnership pension account as your employer will make contributions anyway. If you do choose to contribute, your employer will match your payments up to a further 3% of your pensionable salary. Contributions are invested for you by the nominated provider and you can use the resulting pot to fund your retirement. You will receive tax relief on any contributions you make.
