Every day, over 9 million people from all corners of the globe call London home, creating a unique tapestry of cultures, ideas and aspirations. ​Our duty to the public requires us to do more for our officers and staff, ensuring they have the tools, equipment and framework they need to succeed. We have also taken strides in strengthening our culture – putting in place the development, training, and processes to ensure we live our guiding principles and values – Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect and Empathy. This has been underpinned by strengthening professional standards and by landmark action plans on race and culture.

But, if we are to succeed on this next part of the journey, we need an inspirational senior leader with a relentless eye for delivery and a collaborative approach, to continue to translate the ambitions set out in the New Met for London into reality and further significant progress in operational performance.
As a Senior Leader in the Met, you will do more than just deliver operational excellence. You will have a role that impacts on leading and inspiring our tens of thousands of outstanding officers and staff policing the most diverse city in the world – putting the community and our frontline back at the heart of everything we do.
