Welcome
Dear Friend,

Thank you for your interest in the London Community Foundation. You have the opportunity to create significant impact in this role and on our mission to tackle disadvantage in London by inspiring donors to give.

We match excellent service delivery for the many Donor-Advised Funds (DAF) we manage, with a pan-London reach and understanding of grassroots charities and community groups tackling the issues that matter to London. We do this with a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion through our people and practices, striving to represent London in what we do.

During 21/22 the Charity underwent a significant programme of change to grow its mission. Resetting LCF for the Future saw us change our operating model, revise our Donor Products, co-create new values and behaviours and People Offer, alongside investing in our cross-organisational equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) commitments. Our focus for 22/23 is embedding and learning from these changes.

This is an enhanced role for LCF replacing the previous Finance and Resources Director position. It is a very intentional and important change for LCF as we expand the strategic responsibilities and focus of the Finance and Resources Team to progress the Reset changes. Leading an efficient, compliant, and impactful Finance and Resources Team sits at the heart of this role, alongside managing LCF’s governance operations, HR, IT, property, and small supply chain. This will be underpinned by key management information to support LCF’s performance and strategic decision making.

LCF is a small team, but our work is significant, often fast paced and complex but ultimately, incredibly rewarding. You do not need to have worked in the charity sector, but you will have worked at a Director-level previously, be committed to business transformation and evidencing real impact across the disciplines above as well as contributing as a member of the Senior Management Team. You will be comfortable leading through complexity and bring significant strategic focus across LCF. You will also possess excellent people skills and commitment to role modelling an inclusive culture.
We are seeking powerful combination of commercial skill, commitment to impact with the humility and openness of people-centred leadership.

LCF we are committed to challenging ourselves to be more inclusive and diverse in how we operate. This includes our recruitment experience. We have a series of commitments to help us attract diverse talent and throughout our recruitment process, we will:

-
Ensure a diverse interview panel wherever possible

-
Provide additional accessibility support for applicants, where requested

-
Share first stage interview questions with candidates beforehand

-
Never ask for your current salary or degree level education

-
Provide an opportunity to meet members of the team

-
Always advertise the salary for our vacancies (#ShowtheSalary)

-
Seek active feedback from you on the recruitment experience

We are really excited to see who could join our Team and help our mission for London.
With my thanks and best of luck with your application.
Kate Markey
