This high-profile role offers the opportunity to lead DIT’s Finance and Business Services functions in a dynamic, international economic department. DIT is a growing Ministerial Department at the heart of the UK’s relationship with the global economy.

I’m looking for an individual with deep financial expertise who can evidence deploying their strategic planning skills and governance experience at a senior level. You will provide advice to the Permanent Secretary as Accounting Officer and the department’s committees across the whole spectrum of finance matters. You will lead DIT’s future shared service and estates strategies, responding to the changing needs of the department.

The Finance and Business Services Director will be the Head of the Finance Profession for DIT and will work as part of a wider group of senior leaders across the Government Finance Function. You will drive a step change in capability across the team and in wider financial management skills across the organisation. You will need to build strong and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders including with HM Treasury to ensure a sustainable funding position for the Department and drive value for money.

You will work closely with the senior leadership team to embed the ‘DIT Spirit’ of being Expert, Enterprising, Engaged and Inclusive.

If you thrive in an exciting and complex environment and can bring the experience and skills needed to succeed in this challenging role, then I would warmly welcome an application from you.

Best wishes,

Catherine
