About the role
We are currently looking to recruit an Information Accreditation and Advisory Manager at our London site.
The Chief Data Office (CDO) is based within Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT). We are responsible for managing the NCA corporate record and information holdings, whilst ensuring the NCA can confidently identify, discharge and comply with its legal information management responsibilities.
We develop strategy and set standards in gathering, storing, processing, analysing and disseminating information. We manage information access requests from the public and third party disclosure requests from other prosecuting authorities in respect of on-going enquiries/operations. We are also responsible for co-ordinating the NCA response to major statutory and public inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
As part of a team of information advisory professionals, you will be using your skills and expertise to:

Manage a small team delivering information assurance and accreditation services and support the Senior Manager in running an effective business function.

Manage a team responsible for ensuring the accreditation status of all NCA information systems, obtaining assurance infrastructures are managed and maintained, and conducting formal analysis on the acceptable levels of risk.

Provide advice and guidance on new systems and capability in relation to information risk management.

Liaise and collaborate with NCA partners to provide assurance that the NCA’s information assets are appropriately protected, through the effective monitoring and compliance with HMG Information Assurance standards to enable data sharing amongst partner organisations.

Support good information management compliance in the agency.

You will also need to demonstrate the below technical criteria:

Thorough knowledge of HMG accreditation and compliance regime.

Knowledge of ISO27001 and HMG Information Standards and Good Practice Guides.
You will also have the below qualifications or experience:

Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.

Experience of briefing and advising senior managers on information security risk.

Relevant experience in information security
Desirable:

Qualification in Information Security
-
Qualification or course in internal/ lead auditing
-
Accreditation in Concepts course / ITCP Accreditor Path
Please note

The NCA is a 24/7 organisation, and working patterns must support business requirements. You may be required to respond at short notice or outside of core hours.

Individuals will be required to undertake and pass a substance misuse test as part of pre-employment checks.

To be considered, you will need to successfully complete a SC Enhanced clearance before commencing the role with the ability to obtain a DV clearance within the first 12 months in post.
