Redbridge is on the path of organisational change and transformation. With changing demands and limited resources the organisation is continually adapting to meet the needs of residents. Building and learning from successful work streams we have launched the enablement programme which focuses on empowering, developing and ultimately enabling the entire organisations workforce.  

 

These are exciting times for the council and we want to have a finance function that will support a brilliant team to meet the challenges of tomorrow. The finance service has been re-designed so that it is more commercially focused and streamlined. We are moving away from traditional accounting and towards professional services, quality assurance, matrix working and accelerating pace. It is certainly a time of great opportunity and the following roles promise a brand new challenge with many rewards including flexible smarter ways of working through the use of technology.

 

All of these finance management roles will provide leadership, direction and support to their teams in the new ways of working. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how they develop, and like all my senior managers I’ll expect you to have a significant focus on staff development and team building.

 

I'm looking for candidates with a modern outlook on financial management, rooted in solid professionalism, and with the personal credibility to impress and influence up to corporate management team and committee level.  Technical financial ability is always essential, but to make a success you’ll need the leadership, communication and influencing skills that are the hallmarks of future Finance Leaders.
