About MOPAC

MOPAC is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as Police and Crime Commissioner for the Capital. There has never been a more challenging time for police and criminal justice services in London; our staff are instrumental to our success in this highly demanding, complex and rewarding environment where the objective of keeping London safe is our foremost priority.

MOPAC works at the heart of London Government. MOPAC's 100+ staff work closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor of Policing and Crime, the Metropolitan Police Service, London Boroughs, the NHS, Probation services, the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice amongst others.

MOPAC staff undertake a broad range of statutory duties and are directly accountable to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime in delivering their agenda for London. Our priorities are to;

  • Deliver a better police service

  • Deliver a better criminal justice system

  • Keep children safe

  • Reduce violence against women and girls

  • Tackle hate crime

We are dedicated to building a professional, highly skilled workforce that delivers the Police and Crime Plan for London. We are committed to the same high standards on equality and diversity that we expect of the Metropolitan Police.
