Welcome

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is the independent body that regulates and administers the business costs and decides the pay and pensions of the 650 elected Members of Parliament and their staff in the United Kingdom. We were created by the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009, as the world’s first independent regulator of MPs’ financial remuneration.

We have an ambitious strategy and we need help to deliver it! We want to enable MPs to do what really matters by providing a providing an exemplary, seamless regulatory service.  We’re intent on transforming IPSA but we need more great people to join our Finance team.

You’ll be joining Finance, Management and Systems Accountants, Finance Business Partners, Payroll Professionals and Finance Officers; finance savvy people who support IPSA to deliver financial value, seamless service and accurate, consistent advice to our MP facing colleagues.

We need the best practice in managing £250m of public money, whilst operating a consumer focussed financial service for the equivalent of 650 small businesses. If you’re up for increasing the value the Finance team brings to the organisation and creating best in class processes, controls and reporting, then IPSA is the place for you.

We’re recruiting into various roles and we want people with sound financial management, planning, monitoring and reporting skills, experience in public sector finance management although not essential and you need to be comfortable operating within regulatory, governance and legal frameworks.   You’ll be high on resilience and initiative and you’ll bring passion, energy and fresh thinking to the Finance function.  You’ll love working with others to create productive partnerships and great outcomes for everybody.  You’ll be joining a diverse and knowledgeable bunch of people, passionate about making IPSA brilliant and so you’ll need to fit right in.
