Southwark 2030 sets out our vision for our borough that together, we will build a fair, green and safe Southwark where everyone can live a good life as part of a strong community. Through Southwark 2030 we will leverage our assets to focus on the priorities that matter most for residents and adopt new ways of working to help tackle structural inequalities, harness the impact of preventative approaches, and empower our people.

Like many local authorities, Southwark faces growing financial pressures and increasing service demands within a more complex operating environment. The council must deliver significant and sustained savings while maintaining quality and protecting outcomes for residents.

The newly formed Technology, Digital and Resident Experience Leadership Team will play a critical role in meeting this challenge by using innovation, automation and data-driven insights to redesign services, improve productivity and create lasting efficiency. They will help deliver the council’s future target operating model, ensuring digital, data and resident experience are at the heart of how the organisation works, how staff are supported, and how residents access the services they rely on.
