Defence Infrastructure Organisation
DIO is here to manage the infrastructure, land and associated services that everyone who works in Defence relies on. One of the largest landowners in the UK, our estate covers around 230,000 hectares and contains military bases, supply depots, offices and airfields, as well as 170 Sites of Special Scientific Interest and 734 scheduled ancient monuments.
As the property and services provider for a huge department, the needs of Defence are at the heart of all we do. We manage delivery and maintenance of everything from homes to hangars. We do this by understanding the needs of our customers, articulating the requirement to our industry partners, commissioning the work and then ensuring it has been done to the standards our customers expect.
DIO Finance
DIO Finance area is a key enabler to the Infrastructure business. We need to use our expertise and professional skills in-order to deliver quality data to the TLBs/business in order that important infrastructure decisions can be made. This will enable us to meet our DIO vision for a Better Estate; Better Service and Better Business. As well as enabling the business, it is critical that we continue to meet our external reporting requirements.
DIO Finance staff of around 120, who are based in Andover, Sutton Coldfield, RAF Wyton and Shrivenham, look after 3.5 billion of infrastructure funds.
