The Director of Finance role is therefore critical. You will be reporting directly to me, serving as my statutory Deputy, and leading a diverse, high-performing service playing a key role in shaping and delivering our strategic financial direction, supporting the Council to make sound, evidence-based decisions that ensure value for money and financial sustainability. Working closely with myself, the Chief Executive, elected Members and senior leaders, you will be part of the wider corporate leadership team that drives transformation and innovation across the Council.

We are looking for an inspirational finance leader who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence. Someone who is collaborative, values-driven and passionate about public service. You’ll lead talented teams within our shared finance service with the London Borough of Sutton, bringing together expertise and creativity to achieve the best outcomes for our residents.
