Dear candidates,
On July 1st I joined Kings College Hospital as the Chief Financial Officer and as my wife recently commented “I have never seen you so engaged, stimulated and so obviously enjoying the challenge”. Since July, the Finance team have been working in a very collaborative fashion to develop an inspiring Vision and Roadmap for Finance with buy-in and support from our colleagues across the five KCH hospitals. At this point we need to reorganise for success and therefore have a number of leadership opportunities in Finance. We want to invite colleagues from across the NHS and the commercial sector to see if they can contribute in a meaningful way to that success.
You may be aware that KCH has had a difficult few years with the largest deficit in the NHS and relatively poor performance against operational targets. Finance has a huge role to play in terms of helping turnaround and transformation that is required in both operational and financial performance to match the high quality of clinical care that we provide. Each of these roles will play a leadership role not just for finance but also for KCH and the NHS in SE London. If you are excited by such a challenge please get in contact.
