We are looking for someone who:

  • Is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

  • Has significant experience in progressive financial roles

  • Can demonstrate staff management experience and is able to lead, handle performance issues and motivate

  • Proactively seeks change to improve performance and processes

  • Has great relationship-building skills and can work well and communicate effectively with a wide range of people

  • Can demonstrate:

    • The ability to frame information into clear analyses, with the appropriate strategic focus

    • The ability to support the organisation whilst remaining independent and objective (and within the bounds of all accounting standards and regulations)

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts in laypeople’s terms and to work with staff of different levels from Executive to Support level

    • Sensitivity to the roles and responsibilities of others

    • Effective engagement of partners across the organisation

  • Has a high level of IT skills, including:

    • Experience of a using medium to large financial software packages and reporting tools

    • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

  • Is able to cope with and prioritise heavy workloads

  • Is able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the role that diversity and inclusion play in the activities of the Southbank Centre as a whole and in the work of this particular job
