The security clearance currently required for our building is Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).  As well as a National Security Vetting form completed our internal HR complete some baseline checks which include:

Identification
Verification of identity is essential before any individual can begin their employment. Please note original documentation must be provided. HMT Staff will verify and copy this documentation.

Photocopied documents must be clear, and state that the original document has been seen, confirms the true likeness of the individual, and then dated and signed by the person checking and verifying the original documentation before passing to the HR Security Vetting Team.  

Proof of address
Reflecting the applicants current address and been issued within the last 3 months. Bank Statements & Utility Bills are the most common form of documentation but other identifying documentation can be used. Original documents must be provided but can be photocopied and then signed and verified by a member of HMT Staff as being a true copy of the original document – please note that we are unable to accept mobile phone bill as proof of address 

Employment history
Where the Baseline Standard is being carrie d out as the groundwork for National Security Vetting, employment history should, as a minimum be verified for the past 3 years.

Nationality & immigration status
For all government departments and agencies all individuals must meet the Civil Service Nationality rules for recruitment.
